About the event

About the Presenter

Kristy has been an LPC since 2011 and has worked in various settings, primarily focused on Addictive Disorders & Trauma. Kristy is a Master Addictions Counselor,  Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. Kristy became a CPCS in 2017 and began exploring how the vicarious traumatization of sitting with a client's own Trauma impacts the clinician. Since then, Kristy has been researching the impacts of Vicarious Trauma on mental health professionals and how to recognize the early signs in order to mitigate the impact on ethical client care and the wellbeing of the clinician.
